 (On-line) Practice Group Develop & Apply Mindfulness Skills to More Effectively Navigate Challenging Emotions and Cope with Stress, Anxiety and Change

If you want to learn to practice mindfulness meditation in a supportive group where you can show up as yourself, this may be the (not therapy) group for you!  We will focus on mindfulness practices beginning with an opening meditation followed by a group check-in. Working with what arises in our sessions, we will discuss our challenges and how we might apply mindfulness to these challenges.  We will also explore key mindfulness teachings such as compassion, acceptance, suffering & working with resistance.   Tara Brach’s R.A.I.N. practice (to work with what is) will also be integrated into the later sessions. Your level of group participation is always at your discretion.

Ongoing research into the many benefits of mindfulness and mindfulness meditation continue to point to its effectiveness in managing anxiety, depression, stress and other conditions. The power of mindfulness is in knowing what is happening when it’s happening. This awareness enables us to pause, step out of old habits and build new responses. A supportive community is a key factor in creating these changes but your level of participation is always up to you.

The following sessions are offered by Michele Cadotte, MA RP.  Michele has completed the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Teacher Training Intensive Course, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and the 2 year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Program (with Tara Brach & Jack Kornfield).  As a Mindfulness Practitioner of many years, she is passionate about sharing the benefits of the practice.

Returning participants will receive on ongoing link for the sessions. If you are new to the sessions, I ask that you email me at connect@michelecadotte.ca a few days before your (1st) session so that I can send you the group acknowledgement form for your review and signature. You will receive a Zoom link before the session on that day.  E-transfer of the $25 monthly fee (includes all 4 sessions for that month) to connect@michelecadotte.ca for auto deposit are appreciated. If the fee limits your participation, please feel free to discuss payment options with me.
