THE MINDFUL PARENTING SUPPORT GROUP
Would you benefit from some group encouragement, stress reduction techniques, and mindfulness based tools to support you in your parenting role? We enter parenting we such hope and promise only to be reminded of our personal limitations AND your child’s unique personality and evolving needs. Nothing in my life has allowed me to grow as person as much as being a parent. Along the way, I have benefited from the wisdom of experienced parents and developed important practices which have sustained me through many years of parenting. This group will share, discuss and explore parenting issues and develop new tools and strategies to better cope with the challenges of being a parent. A willingness to share, explore deeper questions, and embrace new approaches are key elements of this group work. Each session will include experiential activities to enhance your ability to deal with the high and lows of parenting but, more importantly, to learn to be more present to the wonder and joy which parenting can offer.
Dates & Location: to be determined / one evening per week OR Saturday morning

YOGA TO BEAT THE BLUES AND BUILD RESILIENCE

In this class, we use postures, breathing exercises, sound, focused meditation and “mind strengthening” techniques as we learn to balance our mood and sustain optimal mental health. We all experience challenges, but we can draw on our body’s wisdom to cultivate the self-awareness, self-compassion, and mindful practices which contribute to a positive mental state and form the foundation for a contented and meaningful life. Let us practice together to make it so.
