After several years working as a teacher, parent, yoga instructor, and lifestyle coach, I earned my MA in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy and gained professional education and training as a counsellor. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario.
I have a strong interest in the relationship between mental health and lifestyle change and draw on my experiences as a yoga and meditation practitioner to guide my clients using mindfulness and self-compassion as paths to a more resilient and content life. As a wife and mother of two teenagers, I understand the challenges in building healthy relationships and work from a place of trust, respect and positive communication. I have a passion for working with people who are experiencing life transitions and for exploring body awareness as a pathway to healing and recovery. Working from a client centered approach and embracing diversity, I use a variety of therapeutic models and support skills to facilitate change through the creation of healthier behaviour patterns, new life skills and ways of being.
